On First Friday, October 7th, 2011, Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, the World Apostolate of Fatima and the Pontifical Mission Society of the Holy Childhood Association will be sponsoring the 9th Annual Worldwide Children's Eucharistic Holy Hour.

Pastors, Teachers and Parents throughout the world will be gathering the children in their care before the Most Blessed Sacrament to spiritually unite in following the Way of the Little Shepherds of Fatima, praying to “console the Hidden Jesus,” and praying for peace and for families, a mission entrusted to them by Blessed John Paul II in his Christmas Letter to the Children of the World following the close of the International Year of the Family in 1994.

The Holy Hour has received an Apostolic Blessing from Pope Benedict XVI and has been presided by Bishop Robert Finn, Archbishop Gregory Aymond, and Father Patrick Byrne, General Secretary of the Holy Childhood Association. Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) broadcasts the Children's Holy Hour LIVE to over 140 nations from its “epicenter,” the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C.

The program is easy, free and spiritually powerful. It was just days after Pope Benedict XV asked the children of the world to pray for an end to World War I, saying that “the prayers of children are irresistible!” that Heaven responded by Our Lady coming to the three little shepherds of Fatima to say, “The War will soon end.”

Our world today is in need of a great grace to open the 'floodgates of grace and mercy' upon our world, let us spiritually unite the prayers of our children, and present them to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for her to present to Her Divine Son.

Father, would you please consider allowing us to gather the children of our parish/school before the Most Blessed Sacrament on First Friday, October 7th, giving our children this unprecedented opportunity to spiritually unite their prayers with the Catholic school children at the National Shrine in Washington and around the globe?
