Children of the Eucharist

  CHILDREN OF THE WORLD

PRAYING FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE WORLD!

The proper meaning of catechesis, in fact, must be this: to bring the flame of Jesus’ love, even if it is a small one,
to the hearts of children, and through the children to their parents, thus reopening the places of faith of our time.”

– Pope Benedict XVI (Bressanone, Italy, August 22, 2008)

The Worldwide Children’s Eucharistic Holy Hour is fast approaching and knowing how busy principals are, I wanted to get this information out to you early.

For the past eight years on each First Friday of October Children of the Eucharist, the Children’s Program, spiritually unites the prayers of millions of children throughout the world. Our Catholic school children, Religious Education Parish Programs and homeschooled children, gather before the Holy Eucharist in the annual Worldwide Children’s Eucharistic Holy Hour. EWTN broadcasts the program LIVE to over 140 nations from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.

As Catholic parents and educators we are always looking for ways to increase the faith of the children entrusted to our care. This is one of those rare opportunities. Thus far Children of the Eucharist has received two Apostolic Blessings; first for the Fifth annual Worldwide Children’s Eucharistic Holy Hour, and most recently for the Year for Priests.

We are proud to announce that the Pontifical Mission Society of the Holy Childhood Association will once again be uniting with us as we bring the children of the world before the Holy Eucharist in a global Eucharistic Holy Hour to pray for their own families, and for all the families of the world!

We thank Option C for their assistance in promoting this event.
